Atlanta rapper and singer Kodia Shane is gaining fans with her infectious and youthful energy. Born as Kodie Williams and raised in Chicago, she was fortunate to grow up in a musical family. Her father was a part of a Detroit trio; her aunt is singer Cherrelle, and sister is Brandi William of Blaque. Along with that, her mother is her manager. Shane found inspiration producing at the age of 14, as she took on the Wild West spirit of being named after Buffalo Bill Cody by her grandfather.

Kodie Shane got her big break as the sole female member of Lil Yachty's Sailing Team. As she was in the studio, it was Coach K (producer of Gucci Mane and Migos) who introduced her to Lil Yachty. Her first cut with the Sailing Team was 2016 track "All In." Her verse gained her recognition and pointed people to earlier releases of 2060 mixtape and first EP Little Rabbit. It wasn't until her solo single "Sad" that she gained her devoted fan base.

Now she is signed with Epic Records and released her sophomore album Big Trouble in Little Jupiter. She incorporated one of her biggest R&B influences Ashanti, so she could showcase her growing vocal abilities. Kodie Shane is continuing to add notable features like Trippie Redd and impress us with new singles such as "Sing to Her," and her striking debut album Young HeartThrob. With such a strong showcasing of early promise, we can only anticipate with bated breathed what Shane will show us in the years to come.
