CLOVES is the London by-way-of Melbourne singer/songwriter who released her critically acclaimed debut album, One Big Nothing in late Sept. 2018. We were lucky enough to host her shortly thereafter for live performance that proved nothing short of absolutely breathtaking. Watch her live performance of “Hit Me Hard” from the album above, followed by an interview that deep dives into CLOVES’ artistic origins, the making of her stunning debut, and what’s up next for the young talent.

CLOVES thoughtfully pulls together sonic influences of ‘90s alternative bands like Mazzy Star and Radiohead, combines them with lyrical themes of anxiety, heartbreak, and self-growth, and ultimately chops it all up into One Big Nothing. Moving away from the minimalist acoustic stylings of her first EP, XIII, the 10-piece collection of cinematic tracks captures the essence of edgy grit in indie rock, while also exploring the confines of human frailty. Quickly finding success with a growing international fanbase, CLOVES made her U.S. television debut on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers on Oct. 31.
We predict only bigger and better things ahead for miss Kaity Dunstan, aka CLOVES. As we patiently await upcoming live shows and music, you can discover more of her music here.
